the vision

The Lord is still speaking to his children till date but most of us loose vital information that could really turn around our lives for good. What do we do with the volume of information we gather every time and everywhere? Are we running with it?

The Lord may speak to you through visions of the night, dreams, trance, revelations, he may drop a word in your heart, speak clearly to your ears, show you an open vision, impress a passage upon your heart as you’re studying and meditating on the Word of God. What we do with these information per time will determine whether the Lord will keep speaking to us or not. Habakkuk was told by the Lord to write the vision and make it plain because you can only run with an information you have close to your heart.

Are there not some issues the Lord told us which we’ve not acted upon uptill now because we lost the information, we didn’t write them anywhere. It is important to always have a notebook and biro by your bedside, so you can quickly capture the things the Lord is telling you. You may also go about your day with a dairy to capture thoughts and inspirations that may come by the course of the day.

Also, write down all the prophecies, words of knowledge and words of wisdom, the Lord expects you to make warfare with these prophecies, until they physically manifest. I Timothy 1:18, “This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare”

You can only refer to and pursue those information you wrote down. It is amazing to flip through your prayer journal, dairy, sermon notes to find things the Lord told you years back which has already come to pass. This will increase and encourage your faith to ask the Lord for new things knowing that as He answered the former, He’ll also do the later.

There are times the Lord will refer you to things he had earlier told you, but what happens if you didn’t write them down. It is often said “the faintest biro is better than the sharpest brain”, you can’t always remember everything because your brain does not have the capacity to store and retrieve all the information as at when needed.

I encourage you to have a notebook titled TSL – “Thus says the Lord” to record all the Lord’s dealings with you. As you do this you’ll find that the Lord will speak more clearly to you because you are now ready for business with the Lord. God bless you.
