Psalms 22:3 “But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Isreal.”Psalms 11:4 “The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD’s throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.”

Holiness, Holiness, Holiness.

I ask: Does this word really make sense to people now a days?  Do people really have a sound understanding of this word? Dear listener, whenever you hear the word Holy or holiness, what comes to your mind?  Do you really think that your existence has some kind of connection with this word?

These and many more questions, I believe the Holy Spirit Himself will settle in our hearts in Jesus Name.  In doing justice to today’s message by God’s grace, I want to ask a question: what is  the difference between Holiness and righteousness?  I ask this question because quite often times a lot of people use these words inter-changeably so much so that they appear to have the same meaning in people’s mind.

But listen, there is a difference between righteousness and Holiness.  Righteousness is doing what is right in the sight of God.  I repeat, righteousness is doing what is right in the sight of God.  it is a good spiritual attitude because God Himself is righteous, He does always what is right.  Righteousness is however limited, in that in doing what is right, your heart may not be involved.

But, Holiness is, however, a deeper version of righteounesness.  Holiness is really not act, Holiness is a nature.  Holiness is the nature of God. listen, anyone who is holy will automatically be a righteous person but a righteous man may not be holy.  Holiness is the only requirement for admittance into heaven.

Righteousness itself cannot deliver to the holy land where God is resident, holiness is the key.  So to be holy, you  must of necessity carry God within you.  That was why, Jesus said, that it was expedient that he left, so that our driver and conveyer to heaven, the Holy Spirit Himself, the very nature of God can come and help us.
The bible says in Isa. 35:8 “And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called the way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it…”

I want you to always remember that God is holy, heaven is holy, the pathway to heaven is also holy so if God and heaven are your ultimate desire, it only implies that you must be holy.  Accept the Holy Spirit of God today, He is already waiting for you and He will transform your life forever.
